Go right along road for 50 metres then right down Rice Lake Road.Follow boardwalks then climb the steep staircase to reach Lynn Valley Road. Immediately before the bridge, turn left onto Baden-Powell and descend steps. Keep right through the parking area for 50 metres to the suspension bridge.Turn right and follow the trail to paved parking area (Lynn Canyon Ecology Centre). Turn left and cross the bridge, then climb the staircase to large clearing. Descend to a long boardwalk then continue up to a large bridge over Twin Falls.Follow this to a signpost then turn left onto Baden-Powell Trail. Keep right along the wide path that narrows and becomes Lillooet Trail. From the far end of the parking area (field #8) head past the gate and down a short road.At the T intersection, turn right and find parking at the far (north) end of the sports fields. At the traffic lights, turn left and head up Lillooet Road past Purcell Way (Capilano University) and turn left on Inter River Park Road. Trailhead GPS coordinates: 10 U 498442 5463542įrom Highway 1 just north of 2 nd Narrows Bridge take Exit 22A for Lillooet Road. You’ll dodge man-eating mud pits and gargantuan root systems as you claw your way to mighty Norvan Falls and back. You’ll negotiate a constant barrage of obstacles while passing waterfalls, creeks and the famously treacherous Lynn Canyon. The Tour de Lynn is an out-and-back run that links several major trails throughout the two parks. An engaging section of the Baden-Powell cuts through the park and several other trails provide sweet link-ups connecting easily with neighbouring Lynn Headwaters. Lynn Canyon is perhaps best known for its 50-metre-high suspension bridge and is home to several waterfalls and some primo swimming holes. The ever-popular Lynn Loop Trail can be incorporated into many variations ranging from 45 minutes to six-plus hours. The superb running destination of Lynn Headwaters occupies nearly 5,000 hectares of wilderness between Mount Fromme and Mount Seymour. Lynn Creek is the central attraction and the forested slopes surrounding it are full of exotic streams, gullies, canyons and cliffs. Smack in the middle of North Vancouver, the residential neighbourhood of Lynn Valley provides instant access to the trails of Lynn Headwaters Regional Park and adjacent Lynn Canyon Park. Just 15 minutes from downtown, they feature the largest network of trails in the area and provide incredible opportunities for runners who want a technical challenge. Vancouver’s North Shore Mountains are world-famous for exceptionally steep, rocky, and rooty terrain, and are a true haven for coastal rainforest enthusiasts.
